Fall 2014 Undergrad ALFALFA page

Our research revolves around the study of star-forming galaxies in the nearby universe. In particular, we have been conducting ALFALFA, a major survey that has used the Arecibo telescope in Puerto Rico and its 7-pixel radio camera "ALFA" to detect tens of thousands of galaxies via the 21 cm line of atomic hydrogen.
