HI Properties of the Rich Galaxy Group Zwicky 1400+0949
from the ALFALFA HI Survey
Thomas J. Balonek (Colgate/NAIC) and the ALFALFA
Consortium
The Zwicky Cluster 1400+0949 (also known as the NGC 5416 group), one of the
richest nearby galaxy groups, has been mapped as part of the Arecibo Legacy
Fast ALFA (ALFALFA) extragalactic HI blind survey. We determine group membership
using the observed HI velocities or optical redshifts for non-detected galaxies.
We present a catalog and atlas of ALFALFA HI detections in this cluster, cz
~6000 km/s, and investigate the HI properties of members.
